Thesaplingproject.com

I came to know about this project through Kiruba, as usual. They had this amazing idea of planting trees in community spaces like schools, flats, and other grounds instead of planting them in the forests. This way the greenery around the country is increased, in a proportionate manner.

Kiruba and co. had already done planting in a couple of places, and this time it was in Dr. MGR School for the Hearing Impaired, and it was supposedly at 10 am. We had to go a lil late, thanks to Fahim's sleep. We made it there at around 11.30 am, just in time to meet Kiruba, who was leaving after completing the plantation of most of the saplings. We went in, posed for a photograph and then took the initiative to actually plant a couple of plants (very few were actually left cos we were late), and then, it was time to return back home.

I'm happy we finally took up something to get down and do some real farming! So much for mother EARTH..

  4. I dig it. I wish we would be content with the Earth as our home instead of some having an incessant need to colonize and exploit other planets.
