Vodafone Postpaid Customer Care blues..

I had a prepaid Vodafone card till yesterday! One of my friends introduced me to an interesting plan in postpaid CUG which had 400 free calls and 10000 free msgs and free calls within the group for 325 rupees! I was extremely interested and took the plan and yesterday my sim was converted to a postpaid one with the same no.!

I had a query regarding how I had to check the no. of calls I had made in the free calls and so I called the Vodafone customer care no. 9884098840 and they took down my query and the conversation went as follows;

CC: Sorry for the inconvenience sir! You've called the prepaid customer care..
Me: I'm extremely sorry. May I know the postpaid customer care no. ??
CC: Just try 111 and you'll be automatically connected to the postpaid customer care! Thanks a lot for calling. Have a nice day..
Beep...

Now I called 111 and I again gave the query. Then, the conversation went as follows;

CC: Sorry for the inconvenience sir! You've called the prepaid customer care..
Me: I'm extremely sorry. May I know the postpaid customer care no. ??
CC: Just try 9884098840 and you'll be automatically connected to the postpaid customer care!
Me: Are you kidding?? I just called that no. and they gave me this no.!
CC: Sorry for the inconvenience again sir! Please call 9884098840 from a landline.. Thanks a lot for calling. Have a nice day.
Beeep..

Me was extremely extremely pissed, and I still don't have the Vodafone customer care no. for postpaid nos.! I'm planning to go blast the executives in the closest Vodafone store! They are supposed to be an international telecom company and they don't even have a proper customer care.. Wtf..

  5. Cursing India aint a solution my friend....the service is bad....because the customers are bad....but, its improving....because the last time I checked with Airtel, I got the right number in my first attempt! [:D]

  6. If you call 9884098840 from a landline you pay normal call charges, right ?

    Even i've been tossed around like this, for me it happens between Airtel customer care and broadband tech support.

  9. @guru, lotsa thanks first!!

    Dude, exactly! They charge you a local call rate from a landline, when you call 9884098840, and that's why I was so pissed because when I call from a landline, the music keeps ringing on and on!

    And about your airtel prob, guess every major company has it's own problems! Damn!
