The Chinese Earthquake as everyone of you would have read in today's newspaper is definitely one of the most massive tragedies to have happened in recent times. No one was expecting it when nature unleashed it's fury on the people from the world's most populous country and the least expecting would have been the Chinese Government who are in a real mess, what with the Olympics coming up and all. I was on one hand full of hatred because of the Tibetan issue. Now, that has all turned into pity for the government and the country's people. I would love to extend my hand for any help, but being in this part of south India, I'm just so helpless as everyone of you reading this.. And the news report of the quake which said that a school collapsing leaving around 1000 kinder gardeners and teenagers dead came as a real shock for me.
But all said and done, the Earth's population has been increasing multifold and these are just Mother Earth's balancing forces. So we have to just live our life watching all tragic events wondering that it could happen to us tomorrow or maybe dayafter or a year later!
My heart goes out to all those who've died and all those people who were injured. About the future, I guess there's gonna be a lot of aid pouring in, but is it reaching the intended people. That's your guess.. I would just advice you to help in through authorised persons cos there are still fickle minded persons, who try to earn of such a disaster. Wishing China a speedy recovery!
There has been one technical miracle that has happened! The tremors were reported in twitter even while it was happening.. Check it out here
Check out this video of the earthquake
I can't even get my head around the numbers, and just thinking of all those trapped just breaks my heart.

Hi Sharav,
ReplyDeleteOff topic, just want to answer your question in my blog. Tagging is where you link up with other blogs using some kinda post, if someone said you've been tag it mean you have to do the same exact post, include all the links in the particular post and then post it in your blog and pass it to someone else. That's tagging.
I'll tag you on Monday so you can try it, I usually tag and post it as Meme Monday there on my Earthly explorations blog:)
@gorgeous, tell me as soon as you tag me!
ReplyDeleteI saw this picture or the relief workers carrying a girl on his arm out of the rubbles. She was pale white and dead. It was scary for me...

ReplyDeleteI completely agree with your thought, this is mothers natures way of correcting itself. I doubt its going to end with this either.
ReplyDeleteI am sad for all the ones who had loved ones and family members lost. I also pray for all those who died that they may find their eternal resting places.
(and yes I would certainly welcome a link trade, yours is already added)
@being dad, your link is also added
ReplyDeleteIts horrific, the whole thing. First Burma, then China.
ReplyDeleteApparently the quake went on for a couple of minutes, that would be just crazy.
It certainly has made everyone much more sympathetic to China and the chinese are feeling much more patriotic.
I feel really sorry for the lost of lives from the earthquake. But maybe God has a reason for allowing such tragedy. you got nice page, keep it up.
